Coming Up Next Week, Tuesday, December 7, 2010:
Winterpills

By some odd twist of fate I was really the first person to notice what was going on here. Familiar with Philip Price’s music from the Maggies and his solo work, as well as with Flora Reed’s solo album, I walked in on the end of the first jam session the two of them ever had and noticed that these two voices combined into something more than either was on their own. Apparently they noticed enough to start a band and get married. The fact that they drafted three other Northamptonites with hefty resumes to flesh out the band only bolstered their chances for success… now four records in, they have established themselves as one of the most formidable bands from Western Mass.
